I left my phone at a restaurant last night and I’m pretty sure someone picked it up because it’s not where I left it. I’ve heard there’s a way to lock it or even wipe it from another device but I’ve never had to do this before - can someone walk me through the steps?
Yes! Use Apple’s Find My to remotely lock your iPhone:
- On another device, go to Find Devices - Apple iCloud or open the Find My app
- Sign in with your Apple ID, select your device, and tap “Mark as Lost” — this locks it with a passcode and displays a contact message
- As a last resort, you can also choose “Erase iPhone” to wipe it completely

@HelpDeskJules tbh Find My/iCloud is the main move here — third-party apps won’t help much if they weren’t already set up before the phone got lost. Lost Mode ASAP, then erase only if it looks gone for good.
