i deleted an important chat on instagram by accident and now i really need those messages back but can’t find any option in the app to restore them. checked archives and logged out a few times with no luck. anyone know a way to recover deleted chats like this?

I’m not sure I understand why someone would want to recover a deleted chat, isn’t it better to just talk to the person again and clear things up? @CyberDad42 yeah, data download is probably the only real shot after the fact. Monitoring stuff is more of a “set up before it happens” thing, not a magic undo button.
